This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The primary objective is to better understand course and neural mechanisms of schizophrenia.
We aim to identify neural substrates of the core cognitive deficits associated with schizophrenia, their link to the clinical features of the disorder, and their alterations with disease progression and treatment. This protocol will be utilizing the 3T magnet. We propose to study two cohorts of patients and their controls. (This longitudinal study will utilize the the collective resources of four sites linked by the Mental Illness NeuroScience Discovery [MIND] Institute: Massachusetts General Hospital, University of Iowa, University of Minnesota, and University of New Mexico--each site will recruit subjects and collect imaging and clinical data.)
