The Biostatistics Core is designed to support all of the Research Projects, Developmental Projects, and Core Facilities with study design and data analysis. The Biostatistics Core represents a highly experienced group of biostatisticians who are familiar with the statistical methods applicable to a wide variety of data sets. They have worked with previous neuro-oncology clinical trials, neuropsychologic studies and neurosurgical studies, as well as basic research projects involving preclinical animal models and imaging. Thus, the Biostatistics Core will be able to provide all levels of support to the different projects described in this SPORE application. The involved faculty have the expertise to perform the broad range of statistical services necessary for the wide variety of SPORE projects. This Core will also provide needed statistical support for any project funded through the Developmental Project Section and would continue to support this work if it achieved full project status. The biostatisticians will also be available to those running the Core Facilities for any data management or required statistical support.
