Public Health Relevance

Georgia will develop a Food and Feed Rapid Response Team (RRT) in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Public Health, Epidemiology and Environmental Health Sections, the Georgia Fusion Center, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the US Food and Drug Administration, and Academia to more effectively address public health in food and feed emergency events. We will also work cooperatively with four existing RRTs, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia, to develop The Regional Investigative Form and collaboratively develop RRT Resource Typing to assist with EMAC (Emergency Management Assistance Compact) capabilities.
