A multimedia software package that exposes undergraduate students to frontline issues in materials research is developed. The presentation is interactive and build on fundamental concepts to form a logical sequence of steps that lead to the development of a hypothesis or the discovery of new materials. Several `games` and learning activities are included to stimulate the student's interest and curiosity. The materials issues addressed are those that are the subject of significant recent research activity and that illustrate the interdisciplinary nature of modern materials science. ??/% /??%??/¥??>¢ ?>?%???>À Â??Á? ¢??>>?>À Â?%_ ?%???>À />? _?%??>À />?
