9700583 Markus This proposal requests for a three-day short course to be held December 11-13, 1996 for introducing US academic researchers and faculty to Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) and the Multi-User MEMS Processes (MUMPs). The course will be conducted at MCNC in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, by Mehran Mehregany, Karen Markus and Andy Dewa, as well as staff members from the MCNC MEMS Technology Applications Center at MCNC. The maximum total enrollment for the course will be 30, with 20 positions directed and supported by NSF. ***
