This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of behavioral treatments for insomnia and how these treatments work. Both treatments are behavioral and include some or all of the following types of activity: control of breathing and mental and physical exercises. One of the two behavioral treatments in this study is not effective in the treatment of insomnia. We plan to enroll at least 60 subjects in this study.
