This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Identification of the hyperfine shift of the Fe-S protein(rubredoxin), calibration of the super-WEFT pulse program on the rubredoxin. This is a control experiment and there will be also another one control experiment using labeled nucleii, or uniformly labeled 15N protein sample. In order to get the understanding of the electron transfer of the iron-sulfur protein, we use NMR as a probe to investigate the structure and functional relationship of the cluster. By the hyperfine shift which is the result fo the paramagnetic moment of the iron, we could investigate the interactions better and with a very high resolution.
