Abstract

Many of the research activities of the Center involve direct behavioral observations of human emotion-related behavior, and Core supports these efforts with common protocols. Core supports on 75% time Research Specialist who works across projects. A major responsibility is implementation of an extensive behavioral assessment battery that is used in Projects. ore also supports training and implementation of the structured diagnostic interviews (such as the DISC-IV) that are used in different Center projects. Several questionnaires are common to Projects and Core will allow efficient checking, scoring, and processing of these data. Finally, Core will be an important resource for Trainee projects that will be able to incorporate already-refined behavioral measures into their independent research designs.
