Funds are requested to implement a one-day Northeastern Regional Workshop at Northeastern University. The purpose of the meeting is to inform regional institutions of the missions and goals of the National Science Foundation's Directorate on Science and Engineering Education, and of the opportunities offered by the Directorate. The workshop will be held at Northeastern University on May 10, 1989. Attending will be faculty from New England colleges and universities. N.S.F. staff will be presenting plenary addresses in the morning session, and, together with grant recipients, facilitating afternoon workshops.
