The publication of the report entitled "Reducing the Impacts of Natural Hazards, A Strategy for the Nation" prepared by the Federal Subcommittee for Natural Disasters Reduction (SNDR), Committee on Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES) of the Federal Coordinating Council for Science, Engineering and Technology (FCCSET) will be published and distributed to organizations, experts and decision makers interested in the prevention and mitigation of the consequences of natural hazards in United States and other countries. This report is the United States first interagency effort for the United Nations International Decade for Natural Disasters Reduction (IDNDR).
