Abstract

A goal of Psychology is to hire new faculty members, especially minority scientists, in order to strengthen our basic research and provide role models for our large minority student population. The focus of research will be on determining the biological mechanisms responsible for activation for behavior. Studies will take advantage of modern biological techniques available in the biology and chemistry departments and combine them with behavioral analyses.
