This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.This study is being done to find out the levels of atazanavir, a drug used to treat HIV, and rifampin, a drug used to treat the lung infection tuberculosis (TB), are processed in the blood of persons who take these drugs at the same time. This will be done by measuring these drugs in the participants blood at different times after the participant's take the drugs. This study will also examine the safety of these drugs when taken at the same time and see how well they are tolerated.
