This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This study is being done to try to learn the following: 1) what happens to one's health and immune system when one chooses to stop anti-HIV treatment; 2) how safe it is to stop anti-HIV treatment; 3) how long one can safely stay off anti-HIV treatment; and 4) what factors might predict when one needs to restart anti-HIV treatment.
