The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Purpose: To assess the clinical benefit of oral consumption of yogurt drink containing probiotic bacteria (bifidobacterium lactis BB12) on gastrointestinal function and symptoms in non-patients subjects with the functional bowel symptoms.Participants: men and women of all races and ethnicity between the ages of 18 and 70 years old.Procedures (methods): This is a 6-week probiotic food supplement, prospective, randomized, double blinded, placebo controlled study to evaluate the efficacy of a yogurt drink containing probiotic bacteria BB12 in non-patients with functional GI symptoms.
