The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.AIDS Clinical Trials Group Study 362 is a multicenter, long-term natural history study to assess metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurologic complications in subjects with a past CD4 count <50 cells/mm3 who increased to >100 cells/mm3 on antiretroviral therapy.The primary objectives for ACTG 362 are:Cardiovascular/Metabolic: to examine the incidence and prevalence, and changes over time of hypertension, insulin resistance, abnormal fasting glucose, and the metabolic syndrome in subjects on long-term antiretroviral therapy (ART).Opportunistic Infections: to examine the incidence of opportunistic infections, describe their clinical presentations, and correlate their incidence and clinical presentations with markers of immune reconstitution and virological control.Neurology: to examine the incidence and prevalence, and changes in these measures over time, of cognitive impairment and peripheral neuropathy as ascertained by a screening neuropsychologic and neurologic examination.
