This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The purpose of this study is to learn about relationships between lifestyle characteristics and cardiovascular risk factors, body fat distribution, metabolic syndrome and certain substances in the blood such as fats and factors that may cause blood clotting problems and inflammation in people who are long-term liver transplant recipients. Recruitment for the study will include males and females who received their liver transplants after age 21 and are less than 69 years of age. This is a minimal risk study that will require an overnight visit to the GCRC where blood samples will be taken and a questionnaire will be filled out regarding current diet.
