Many NSAIDS cause toxic reactions, from gastric upset to a fatal immunogenic reaction. We believe that an NSAIDS drug glucuronide-protein conjugate forms in vivo and stimulates an antibody reaction. This study will investigate 1) total plasma clearances and partial clearances of diclofenac and its metabolites, 2) reversible and irreversible binding of the glucuronide to plasma proteins and to characterize the clearances for reversible and irreversibly boudn compounds. The GCRC's outpatient facility will be utilized.
