The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The broad aim of this work is to explore opioid mechanisms as a mediator of the analgesia triggered by behavioral anger expression in individuals high in trait anger-out. The impact of these effects observed in the laboratory on chronic pain intensity in vivo are unknown. Pilot work suggests possible genetic moderation of these effects, and this study will further explore this possibility.
