High vs Low Dose Zidovudine Administered to Children with HIV Infection

Abstract

This is a randomized, blinded trial to evaluate in children with HIV symptomatology the comparative safety and tolerance of two different doses of oral zidovudine. The comparative effect in altering the course of HIV infection and the comparative effect of the two doses on the development of neuropsychologic abnormalities will be determined.
