Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.This proposal has two goals: First is to address the hypothesis that co-morbid conditions in obese children are associated with serum markes of inflammation. Second, to allow complete clinical evaluation of children seen in the Pediatric Early Risk Reduction Clinic (PERRC). The preliminary data will be used for a submission to the NIH
