Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The project will develop a cohort of HIV infected individuals with a history of alcohol use problems, presenting for primary care. It will follow the cohort through 2007, interviewing them at six-month intervals and evaluate adherence with primary care, clinical outcomes, utilization of addiction and medical treatment among individuals with varying levels of alcohol use and abuse.
