This tissue bank will provide a repository of annotated biological samples that will enable researchers to access specimens that, when considered in concert with cancer specimens, represent the spectrum of breast carcinogenesis, from 'normal' to invasive cancer, thus allowing research into the molecular mechanisms of malignant transformation. The samples will be married to comprehensive clinical annotation. Specimens from Mary Ellen's Bank will be accessed by individual researchers via proposal submission.
