The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Extend current findings on decision-making and behavioral organization in patients with cognitive, mood and substance use disorders relative to normal comparison subjects. The core feature of these patients is the fact that dopamine, a neurotransmitter that is critical for reward and reinforcement mechanisms, is thought to be dysfunctional either as a result of a genetic-neurodevelopmental insult (schizophrenia) or due to the repeated administration of drugs of abuse.
