The goal of this research is to obtain sufficient information about the drug's effect in a human, with the aim of determining if this study drug can be safely administered to teach the immune system to recognize and kill liver cancer cells that are combined with the AFP protein. Dendritic cells are a type of blood cell that specializes in stimulating the immune system, and will be grown in the laboratory from your own blood. AFP is a protein produced by cancer, which can be recognized by cells of the immune system. By doing so, the immune system may be able to recognize liver cancer cells by recognizing AFP on them.
