Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The purpose of this study is to determine if individuals with the same size upper airway have differences in breathing control that may explain why some individuals develop OSA and others do not. 80 individuals, between the ages of 20 and 70, are anticipated to be enrolled in this physiologic study. Subjects will be included if they have polysomnographic evidence of snoring or obstructive apnea.
