We also propose to study the potential metabolic, inflammatory, and genetic factors that may be associated with atherosclerosis in HIV-infected patients. The study design is an observational cross-sectional cohort study to examine the prevalence of early atherosclerotic coronary artery disease using MSCT in 100 HIV infected men as compared to 50 normal healthy control men.
