This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The purposes of this study are to determine whether, in comparison to ultrasound alone, additional qualitative MRI information adds clinically useful information with respect to immediate postnatal outcome in fetuses with ventriculomegaly; and to determine whether or not additional qualitative and quantitative indices available with MR correlate with cognitive and motor development of the infant as assessed by standardized developmental assessment tools for cognitive, motor and psychosocial development more closely than routine prenatal ultrasound alone.
