Protein Turnover and the Hormonal Changes of Puberty

Abstract

The relationship between the hormonal changes of puberty (sex hormone, growth hormone, and insulin sensitivity) and total body protein turnover are being studied. Stable isotope-labeled leucine is being used to quantify protein turn-over.
