The purpose of this study is to determine the safety,tolerability and effectiveness of Simvastatin in lowering cholesterol levels and treating or slowing the progression of AD when compared to a placebo. Simvastatin is a Food and Drug Association approved drug used to lower cholesterol levels in the blood, treat heart conditions and reduce the risk of heart attack,stroke and death. The use of Simvastatin for Alzheimer's Disease is experimental. Ten to fifteen subjects from this facility are expected to participate in this study
