The medical regimen for childhood diabetes is complicated and interferes with everyday life, making adherence difficult and often inadequate for achieving good metabolic control. Adolescent adherence is important for long-term health outcomes and improvements. This study will be conducted as a multi-site, randomized clinical trial in subjects to test the effect of exposure to an innovative program of behavioral interventions on adherence and glycemic control by early adolescents.
