This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This sub-project will use microarrays analysis to study the ef-fect of deleting either STE6 or PDR5 on global gene regulation. Synthetic Genetic Analysis (SGA) will also be used to look for synthetic phenotypes with ABC transporter knockouts. An under-standing of all genes involved in this pathway may elucidate new and effective treatments for both drug resistant microbes and tumors.
