In March of 1998, Mr. Grayson took over the Chairmanship of the Midwest Mass Spectrometry Discussion Group. This group is comprised of local mass spectrometrists from academia, government, and industry in the greater St Louis area; extending to Columbia and Rolla Missouri to the west and Carbondale Illinois to the ease. It meets four to six times during the year to hear invited speakers and to exchange information regarding the mass spectrometric arts. This operation is coordinated with the St Louis Section of The American Chemical Society and assisted by The American Society for Mass Spectrometry. Financial resources are provided by The American Chemical Society and the mass spectrometer vendor community.
