This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Syrrx is a structural proteomics company based in San Diego doing structure-based drug design. Several targets of microbial proteins have been crystallized at Syrrx, characterized with monochromatic X-rays. In order to phase these we have grown and crystallized these proteins with Se-Met substitution and are seeking MAD beam time. We will be collecting protein crystal X-ray diffraction data at beamline 9-2. We will be using standard beamline operating procedures and equipment. All crystals are being brought to SSRL pre-frozen and will be removed from the site at the end of the experiment.
