This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The commissioning of Beam Line 7-1, a side station dedicated for macromolecular crystallography was completed and the general user program commenced. The beam line optics was completely reworked and a new hutch implemented. The in-hutch equipment was upgraded to the standard configuration with robotic sample mounter, large-area CCD detector and angular motion of the instrument carriage to allow for limited-range MAD on the side station. Blu-Ice was implemented as control and data acquisition software.
