This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Molecule under investigation form 1D nanofibers which is polycrystalline in nature. As polarized emmision show varying intensities with changes in the angle of emmision polarizer, suggesting different orientation of crystal phases. Using the spectopolarimeter, we want to investigate supramolecule induced chirality due to molecular organization within the nanofibers. The experiment was carried out by dispersion of molecule from good solvent (chloroform) to poor solvent (methanol).
