This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Studying floresecence spectrum & fluoresence quenching with metals of fluoresecent probes. Studying the mechanism of several known organometallic reactions to determine mechanism (kinetics, binding order, etc.) of the reaction. Witha better understanding of the mechanism these metal catalyzed reactions can be improved to optimize these catalysts commonly used in organicsynthesis. Study is utilizing the techniques of TIRF microscopy to studythe reactions and custom synthesized fluorescent probes developed in our laboratory.
