This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. My work to date on imaging the mouse heart has given me experience in rf coil construction, EPIC programming, simulation of artifacts from varied k-space sampling strategies, simulation of the magnetization at high field and the requirements to maintain the steady state, and significant familiarity with the operation of the EXCITE console at 7T. This collaborative internship with GE Global Research and Development will provide an opportunity to share and gain expertise by generating a rosette trajectory in k-space for the 7T magnet.
