This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The very nature of living systems lies in the harmonious hierarchical assembly, regulation, and function of their biomolecular building blocks. In the past, the Resource has focused its research and modeling tool development mainly on the building blocks, but is now shifting its attention to the assembly level, developingmodeling tools for structural systems biology. This shift has required existing tools to become more efficient in order to handle much larger structures, more automated in order to assist the modeler in building and analyzing models, and more comprehensive in order to address the modelers' wider range of tasks.
