The course will sruvey establishedalgorithmic methods, including pairwise sequence alignment and dynamicprogramming, multiple sequence alignment, fast database search heuristics,hidden Markov models for molecular motifs, phylogeny reconstruction andgene finding. We will explore emerging computational problems in genomicsthrough special topics lectures and course projects.
