This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. In the recently approved renewal proposal, a second 7T active shielded magnet was funded to allow the resource to meet the growing demand for high performance FTMS experiments. Additionally, two data systems are currently under development that will allow both instruments to be operated independently. These data systems are primarily based on National Instruments PXI cards. The current status is that the system has been built and tested, the software works, but the amplifiers are not yet complete. This is likely to be a major project in the coming year.
