This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Our lab has screened the haploid yeast deletion strains for those which are inhibited in growth in the presence of oleic acid thereby identifying eroxisomal and other proteins. To understand how several of these proteins are involved in membrane fluidity control, we constructed several two-hybrid baits (Ilm1, Mub1, Ptc1, Pnc1, Ole1) and submitted them for two-hybrid searches.
