This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Even modest-sized mass spectrometry experiments generate large amounts of data which require processing by multiple software programs. The development of an automated data analysis pipeline will simplify this process particularly for recent collaborators and those new to mass spectrometry. The pipeline is both automated enough to provide an easy starting point for collaborators and those new to mass spectrometry and flexible enough to be customized by advanced users. The complete pipeline will include charge-state analysis, library searching, database searching, search result classification, summarization of results, and updating of libraries with newly acquired peptide spectrum matches.
