This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Development of the low-level, Console-based beam line control system has continued in the current reporting period. Improvements have been made to the function and usability of the user interfaces for crystal alignment, XAFS scans and crystallographic data collection. Continued evolution of beam position monitoring and mirror-based beam steering systems has increased stability and reliability of the x-ray beam position relative to the crystallographic spindle. We have designed and implemented a data flow system for rapid and secure storage and access of crystallographic image data, based upon a high performance and capacity fiber-channel Storage Access Network (SAN).
