This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Outside Participants: Oxford-Danfysik Beam lines Ltd, Oxford U.K.; Seso, Aix-en-Provence, FranceNE-CAT, in conjunction with Oxford-Danfysik, has designed and fabricated a Kirk-Patrick Baez focusing system for the Phase II NE-CAT beam line. This system is functionally very similar to that used in Phase I beam line design, consisting of two large ULE flat mirrors, mechanically deformed to approximate elliptical surfaces of rotation with minimal focusing aberrations. Both mirrors and their support and vacuum systems were delivered to NE-CAT Fall of 2005 and installed in late spring of 2006.
