The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The RNA splicing endonuclease cleaves two phosphodiester bonds within folded precursor RNAs during intron removal, producing the functional RNAs required for protein synthesis. There is currently no known structure of any RNA endonuclease bound with RNA substrate containing a distinct RNA motif.
