The SPORE Career Development Program seeks to assist faculty investigators with clear potential to benefitbreast cancer research. This Program provides its awardees with direct funding support, access to SPORECores, career advice/mentoring, and facilitation of potential collaborations with other SPORE projects andinvestigators. Career Development awardees are either promising junior investigators embarking uponresearch careers involving breast cancer, or more established investigators who have developed a newinterest in translational breast cancer research. Individuals are selected through a formal application processinvolving peer review by the SPORE Career Development Program Committee and ad hoc reviewers.
