This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. To maintain and expand the Primate Embryo Gene Expression Resource (PREGER), which is a cDNA-based resource for gene expression analysis in rhesus monkey oocytes and preimplantation embryos, and to utilize the PREGER to evaluate developmentally regulated genes to better understand the genetic regulation of primate embryogenesis. We have provided additional samples to expand the PREGER including, 1) 2-cell stage embryos cultured in alpha amanitin, and inner cell mass and trophectoderm cells from blastocyst stage embryos obtained from FSH/hCG treated monkeys, 2) Pronucleate, 2-cell, 8-cell and blastocyst stage embryos from FSH treated monkeys, and 3) 8- cell, morula and blastocysts from nonstimulated monkeys. The work to be done at the WNPRC for this project was completed during the current report period. This research used WNPRC Animal Services.
