Unit On Computer Support Services, Division of Intramural Research (DIR), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) provides support to NICHD/DIR for (IT) related activities. NICHD is an IC under the National Institute of Health (NIH) located on the NIH campus in Bethesda Maryland. The NICHD/DIR community occupies several buildings on campus and several satellite offices.The NICHD/DIR computing environment consists of approximately 1200 users using PC Macintosh and UNIX computers running various Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh and UNIX operating systems. The computers have installed a variety of commercial off the shelf software (COTS) and government created software.
