This award will enable several university scientists, including graduate students and post doctoral investigators, to attend the Palmen Memorial Symposium on Extratropical Cyclones to be held in Helsinki, Finland (29 Aug.2 Sept 1988). The Symposium will be jointly sponsored by professional societies in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and the United States.
