The award supports the construction of a next-generation correlator for the Prototype Array to Probe the Epoch of Reionization. The new correlator will fully support the envisioned 32-element array operating within the 100 - 200 MHz band and searching for the Hydrogen spectral line at red shifts between 6 and 13. The design of the correlator has applications to (and benefits from) the design of correlators for a broad range of new-generation multi-element radio astronomy arrays.
